- How does a Slovak Limited compare to a UK Limited company?
The Slovak Limited is similar to the UK Limited in that it has low basic capital requirements and low incorporation costs. However, it is more widely recognized in Central and Eastern Europe as a Limited company in "good faith" than a UK Limited or subsidiary thereof. In addition, all the advantages of Slovakia (low labor cost, flat tax, ...) directly apply to the Slovak Limited company.
- What is the advantage of a Slovak Limited company in comparison to an Austrian or German Limited company?
The Slovak s.r.o. offers all the advantages of a Limited company (such as liability protection, asset management, recognized corporate form, ..), while requiring a lower basic capital and incorporation costs, as well as the flat taxation of 19 percent.
- Which documents do I need for the incorporation of a Slovak Limited (s.r.o.)?
For the incorporation at the Public Notary you will need a valid identification card or a passport. The directors of the company also need a penalty record from the country of residence, which must not be older than three months.
- How often will I need to travel to Bratislava?
We will organize your schedule in such a way that you need to come to Bratislava only once. On tha day you are here, we will organize the preparation meeting, the incorporation at the Public Notary, and the opening of the bank account within a few hours.
- How long does the incorporation take?
Normally, the company will be established within four weeks. In extraordinary cases (such as when the Slovak bodies have additional questions, with non-standard Memorandum of Association, ...) it can take up to eight weeks. You should ask your incorporation consultant how often they go to the local chambers, in order not to loose additional time.
- Are there any additional costs?
